Woody Allen circa 1977. I opened my sketchbook yesterday and felt like finally trying that yellow india ink that had been sitting here forever. I also mixed some walnut ink crystals and used them for the first time here. I used my very limited prismacolor markers for the rest. I just started using the blender marker and the results are pretty awkward. I’m trying to practice and make one drawing a day with whatever medium I feel like using at the moment. I still have such a long way to go… I just want to make my baby proud. :-)

This is truly beautiful!
Favela paintings perpetuated over the last six years in the slums of Rio de Janeiro by Haas & Hahn, a Dutch design team consisting of Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn . The pair first came to the city to shoot a hip-hop documentary and stayed to realize public painting projects, working with local youths to add colorful designs to the exteriors of decrepit housing and to alienating public spaces in a way that merges graffiti art, mural painting and installation art.
